Shangana Cultural Village Evening Festival
For guests who want to combine a dinner with an African experience, we highly recommend the Shangana Village:
The residents of the traditional villages of Shangana invite guests to share in the way of life of the Shangaan people. The picturesque villages are set in the shade of ancient trees in a reserve of forest and grassland, and are open every day.
A bustling African market village forms the centre of Shangana, where local craftspeople make and trade their craft. From here, trained guides lead guests down to the famed Evening Festival in the Chief's Kraal. The Chief and his family host the Evening Festival, where choirs, actors and dancers gather to tell the story of the Shangaan people.
The evening ends with a delicious dinner.
More information and bookings can be done by your hosts.

Golf holiday: Golf in Hazyview
There is a good choice of golf courses in and around Hazyview - one of many things to do:
Sabi River Bungalows is a 18-hole golf course. Trees and water both play important roles as hazards on this course. At least 14 holes have water hazards. There are five dams and they all play a role.
Kruger Park Lodge: This 9-hole golf course is a product of the Gary Player Design Company. It offers a refreshing balance between challenge and playability.
Both are beautiful courses with indigenous trees and you often see crocodiles, hippos and lots of birds.
The Skukuza Golf Course is a magnificent 9-hole (18-tee) course situated in the world-renowned Kruger National Park on the outskirts of Skukuza restcamp. The rich wildlife sanctuary surrounding the golf course is home to the Big Five, a huge variety of birds and countless animals, which all conspire to provide the visitor with a harmonious close-to-nature golfing experience.

Why Hazyview is the best place to be...
Hazyview is the gateway to the Kruger National Park (only 10 kms from Phabeni, 18 kms from Numbi and 42 kms from Paul Kruger Gate) right on the Panorama Route Hazyview is also an excellent stopping off point for many of Mpumalanga’s points of interest, the Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and amazing waterfalls..
Hazview is reputed to have the best climate in the world for bananas and you will see row upon row of these lush tropical plantations as well as a wide variety of other fruit and coffee farms.
Many visitors to Kruger National Park stay overnight in Hazyview rather than in the park itself, as it is quite close by and has a good choice of restaurants. Activities in and around Hazyview include horse trails, hiking and hot-air ballooning in and over the colourful Mpumalanga countryside. We can arrange all activities and Safaris for you!
Come and experience it yourself!

Hazyview: Balloons over Africa
One of the activities you should not miss during your stay at Dreamfields Guesthouse:
Balloons over Africa is a commercial hot air balloon company established in 1997. Kevin Roberson is the pilot and has more than 20 years and 2000 flying hours experience. Balloons over Africa offers scenic hot air balloon flights in the beautiful Sabie River valley, near Hazyview in Mpumalanga.
Flights begin in the valley and float over orchards and bush, or forest and hills, and end where the wind has taken you.
Ballooning is a gentle adventure, and experience like no other. This is a graceful and romantic way of looking down on the earth. Drifting at wind speed the ride is calm, and the spectacular wraparound view can be experienced in no other way.
